ANd now I have to come up with something else for Imp #2 (in progress). A nice veranda in the shade of the orbital cannon, with umbrellas and tables and an accordion player... cafe' L'Empereur.

Mine's a cappucino. Hold the Pernod....
:)
Cheers

James

Hi all,
Legio Goliath has its second machine.
The titans will have red faces (why?  :p ) and black hulls, with the 'rooftops' in 'appropriate' (read varied) colours. I still havn't settled on the knights' schemes, but as I plan to have loads, I can permit the luxury of a few different schemes, although I'd like a tie-in with the Titans.
Here's the Legio's first knight from House Custodes - this house is part of the Order of Knights which have attached themselves to the Legio, and is the equivalent of the Commissars in IG, in this case being near-fanatic adherents to the tenets of the Machine. They tend to use rather archaic designs, with stark and unadorned paint-schemes.
This one loks unpainted..... but it's too close to a Martian fighting machine to be any other colour!    :p

Thanks for this guy, Centurion  :D

great work vanvlak I love the mini, the paitwork is simple but very effective, if you want you can base the knights and the titans on a red mars sand maybe you obtain a cool effect.

greatwork

D'oh!  I totally misread the title of this thread -- I thought someone was talking about building Titans out of Legos!

Heh - don't tempt me.....

Thanks guys - it's just metallic paint though! So shading, no washes, no nothing! But it seemed ok, so I left it at that.
Coming soon - Imperator #2, cafe and all. ?:80:

And - aye aye, Mr. Centurion Sir!

Hi all,
so now I have completed all my Imperators (total of 2   ), and both are still unnamed. I dropped off the cafeteria from this one (sorry guys) and went for a different look.
NO, I didn't buy all those ebay frop pods, by the way....  :(8:

Nice wickerwork base, eh  :p ?
Ok, here's a side view. This chap got his upperworks frizzled away by (insert enemy of the Imperium of your preference here), but having helped win the war, the locals gratefully rebuilt the turrets to their own style - with lots of gold too. They also put a gold patch where his head got damaged.

Last pic for today - here's a close up of a bit of the upperworks. The drop pods are just the right size to fit there.
This chap has the same colour scheme as its predecessor in the L. Goliath, with different upperworks. When I get round to tackling my assortment of Warlords, Reavers and Warhounds they'll have a similar black hull with red head, with some variation in carapace armour. For example - one could have a metallic carapace, a second a camo one, and a third would have Dali'-inspired artwork... oh dear.  :80:
Whatever the case, this promises to be fun    :D
The knights wil be closely attached - the House Custodes will have a variety of red, metal and black colours. The other house/houses will have red heads or details, and metal/olive drab/black armour. Possibly.

By the way - this is Cuban Comissar's donation Imperator - thanks CC  :D
The first one was my original from the titan Legions box, having survived a brief period as an unpainted chaos conversion with at least 6 heads......
