Don't see why it actually looks rather good.

You're too kind Llamahead. It'll do for me, but I still feel a bit "meh" about it! Thank you though!

I have 10 Minotaurs that I need to get painted up before Saturday. I was about to slap a load of brown on to them, but when I looked at the NetEpic rulebook, they seemed to be painted up a pale shade of purple. I don't have any purple paints so was wondering if it would it be mental to paint them brown?

Hi!

As you will soon see, mine are all painted in different shades of brown. So PAINT THEM BROWN! :)

Yes, vindicated! If you say it sir it is Epic gospel! All praise the mighty Primarch! ;D

I am chuffed about thais, saves me having to run the GW gauntlet tomorrow and having to go mental when they start asking me what game I play. "THE ONE YOU DON'T SUPPORT ANYMORE SONNY!" would be the answer.

I'm in a controversial mood tonight it seems. I posted this on my local GW's fb wall; "I may be coming in tomorrow to make a purchase. Is there any chance that when I'm in the staff could avoid displaying their usual nauseating cheerfulness?"

It was all I could do not to post this link with it, kind of sums up my feelings with GW staff.

The GW cheerfulness is a Worldwide brand! Here in italy in the store when I go to pruchase colors, bitz or something I must hit and run, for not been rampaged by the staff happyness. Which part of "I don't care 28mm", is not clear? heheheh... oh my Gork!

If I recall correctly, you are supposed to be "enthusiastic"(tm). About what and exactly how is up to senior management to change at whim, of course.

No response to my fb comment. What happened to the helpful cheerfulness of our beloved GW? Can't they take a joke belligerent comment from a customer?

Anyway, I continued the troll theme last night by painting a warband of the little blighters for my battle on Saturday. Sadly, it turns out that Poundland batteries are too good a deal to be true. 4 brand new batteries will get you three photos taken with a flash, all of which were blurry. I may as well have just thrown a pound straight in the bin. Here's one taken in the gloom sans flash which was the best of a bad bunch.

I'll post proper pics at the weekend when my nephew takes a bundle on his i-pad.

I've started painting up my Chaos Marines. I spraypainted them black and instead of completely painting them red, I'm now painting the knee/shoulder pads, arms and helmets red. I figured that with patches of black, the Marines will look cooler, a decision I'm beginning to rue. To say it's tedious would be an understatement.

Fingers crossed my proxies turn up by Saturday morning so I can have a fully painted force by Saturday afternoon!

Striking titan, missed that. I'm rather partial to the old troll mini, looking good, must get round to doing some myself.

Looking forward to seeing your berserker proxies next to Gw marines.

Cheers Apoc! I quite enjoyed painting the trolls and the minotaurs (all being well, pics to come on Saturday) but these Marines... Just realised that I hadn't mentioned the Marines are already glued on to the old square stands; the way they are all packed on is in effect a x2 difficulty modifier!
It seemed like a great idea when I was a teenager because I didn't care whether stuff was painted or not! Regretting it now! Ah, the foolishness of youth!

Sadly they only arrived today so I won't be able to paint them up in time for the battle. I'll try & do them up during the week and let you see them.

Great job on your Chaos army, I really like how you have done the Cannons. The skull on your titan looks cool, the blood dripping down the leg is so Khorne, I can't wait to see your Orks.
