Thanks! Well it's update time again and here is the second fire support platoon for the regimental HQ whenever I manage to paint that up and buy chimeras for it. :) and I'm actually taking good pics of my stuff so a couple of bonus shots of my 40k chapter master and a chaplain.

Enjoy.

well I'm back to epic, I'm finally finishing up the warlord that has been languishing for some time behind whats been painted of my guard and titan legions. I'm hoping I can get him all painted up by the end of the week since I believe most will be superstructure drybrushing and a bit of color for the armor plates. Whst I did do was get the feet finished up today, at least construction wise. now I just have to dry brush tomorrow.

I'm busy putting together my own guard army with a pair of Warlords so i'll be watching this thread with great interest. I have to say that your models look absolutely gorgeous, the old Space Marine infantry in particular caught my eye as did the weapons teams.

They are the old GW IG troopers.

Really nice work :D
I think the weathering is top notch, and definately the best part.  The decals are good, and I bet they aren't nearly as noticable in real life.

As far as decal tips, I use a decal setting solution.  I think its from microscale.  It works ok:  definately better than without, but still does not eliminate all of the frosting.  However, after coating the final model with matt varnish (after using the setting solution), it does really help.  Also, I place the decal after I do all the weathering, so none of the decal's edge gets highlighted.

I can check the brand if you wish.

Good work :)

hey thanks! I've heard of microsol and microset, but I've read that they are mostly vinegar and don't always play nice with the decals. I've been just putting a layer of gloss varnish on before placing the decal and that works alright.

I Finished up the first of three old beetleback epic titans. I'm pretty happy with how this all turned out. I've been thinking of going back and adding in a banner off one of the arm weapons but I'll save that for later if I do it.

Next up, 8 land raiders for the marine force. I Think I'll go through with using imperial fists on the marines.

Nice Warlord. I agree that one weapon banner would really finish it off. Would show off the excellent paint job.

Cheers
