Now leaxe, the question needs to be asked - what were you searching for when you found that?  :blues:

D.

Pure coincidence. Have a papercraft RSS feed running in Pageflakes and saw it there. Knew immediately that I have to post it here. Titans on budget.

Well, back from two weeks in Cornwall and getting back into finishing this project.

The robot is now scaled down to 100mm height, this is the final production height.

I have now acquired a Gatling cannon from FW and will be using this reference material shortly.

Here's a pic of the shoulder weapons mount. Starting work on the new Shoulder armour now:

Hope you had a good time down in South West.

I like the idea of it being scaled at 100mm rather than 115 mm. Firstly it will make it easier to field alongside my existing titan collection. Secondly as it is smaller it will need less resin to make and therefore hopefully will be cheaper- anything that keeps the price down makes it more likely I can afford more than one.

Cheers

James

Hope you had a nice holiday!

If it's scaled down will the weapons be too or just the robot itself? Once E&C makes his two truescale robots it'll be a little weird if some of the same weapons are smaller on the large robot.

Just the robot is scaled down, the weapons will be the correct "truescale" size.

Looking forward to see more of this great project. And yeah: I think a size reduction would help a lot of the concerns people have had about this model. Comparatively larger carapace weapons certainly solves some of my own issues with the current model.

Well this has been quiet for almost two weeks now. This saddens me :(

What weapon options will we be looking at with this baby? :)

Hello, sorry for the quietness, I unexpectedly got a short term job. However, never fear the robot continues to progress.
I've now modelled the large rotary cannon weapon and a preview pic is shown below.
Getting the two heads finished now and then onto the "arms" themselves:

And here's some head ideas. Going to model all three; New "Wolf" class head, Original Beetleback head and Beetleback Eagle modification head. But probably only print two due to cost:

Here's a comparison of the shapes on the body:

Hmmm I actually prefer the one on the left.

Maybe if the one on the right were marginally smaller?
