Whilst the page was loading (yes, my internet is acting like dial up tonight!) I was only half looking and I was like "wow, what a gorgeous titan". Then I realised it was just a WIP. Ridiculous! ;D

it's been a while, having painted 5k of orks over the end of the summer, I'm now cracking on with my eldar project, I've discovered a couple of new techniques to replicate my wet blending on my void spinner in approximately 1/10th of the time..... how very depressing ;)

anyway, here's a quick WIP next to my previous effort, I think they're a pretty decent match :)

yeah, I basecoated the whole thing in meredius blue with an airbrush, then drybrushed the brighter colour on to the side and forward edges, then made a meredius glaze and dragged it from the inner, rear corner forwards, 4-5 layers

whole thing has taken ~3 hours so far as opposed to ~15 for the first one....

It looks better than the first I think.

meh I'm not so sure, it looks a little flatter and there is less of a gradient than the first, having seen them both in the flesh, I prefer the first, but I'm happy with the second and they do match pretty well don't they?

can imagine they might look more different in flesh, but they look near identical to me in that picture, good job

thinking of trying a slightly different scheme on a scorpion, instead of blending up from the mid to light blue, I'll blend the panels up from the navy blue colour used on the air intakes and panel lines, reckon it's a good idea? should I stick to the exact same scheme across the whole army?

I personally think the scheme you have now looks vibrant and I always like uniformity on my units. But if you want to add a unique twist that will help the scorpion stand out, you should!
