Hey folks, I looked around for forum rules but didn't find any - so I hope this isn't a forum where threadomancy brings flames...

My friend and I have just decided to take up Epic Armageddon, and while I'm going with Imperial Guard, he wants to use Chaos (probably Iron Warriors). He asked me to find out if defiler models were available (and they weren't), which led me to this thread. When I read it, I decided I too could make such a thing, so I spent last night and today doing just that.

I just wanted to say thanks to AWu for an outstanding tutorial - although my defiler took closer to 10 hours than ten minutes, it has turned out really well I think (especially given that this is my first ever scratchbuild, and my first experience using plasticard). I found it a bit fiddly at times, though much of this was because my plastic cement is old  

I'm especially pleased with the Defiler flamer (left arm) which used some 40k krak grenades for fuel tanks. I also used a Mordheim gargoyle face for the front cannon ornament. I think the model will be improved once my mate adds some spikey bitz and paints it(he has way more bitz than I, so I'll leave it to him....). I think my next one will have a slightly smaller 'body' section, and maybe an engine of some sort on the back.
