A Gaunt body would also be too large (The body alone is the size of two Epic dreadnoughts).

There's no easy proxy for a Trygon. It needs to be about twice the size of a plastic 40k Ripper.

Hopefully it will work cause to be honest I just can't stand the original Epic Tyranid sculpts!

It needs to be about twice the size of a plastic 40k Ripper.

are the F.W. rippers big enough then ? are the flying rippers from F.W. bigger than the regular F.W. ones mark ? they looked like the same torso piece in the pics.

Yep a good start might be the curly tail of something - ravener etc.

The main body of the 'riding beasts' there is about the right size (If you hacked off the rider) for an Epic Trygon's torso.

But you might as well just use a lump of Green Stuff instead, since the detail is all wrong.


I have a 40k-scale Trygon BTW.

Interesting... Hmmm. I'll have to wait and see what can be done when my GW order arrives :blues:

In the mean time I think I've got an idea for a new Carnifex closer to the current GW version...

In the mean time I think I've got an idea for a new Carnifex closer to the current GW version...

 very cool, i had some plans of my own but somethin tells me i should wait and see what you do first or i'll be kicking myself and saying " his are sooo much better" :)

 hey can anyone post a link to these 6 mm gieger aliens i keep hearing would make good gene stealers ? i've been to the g.z.g. site and seen there aracnids but couldn't find the aliens. thanks.

Alien Xenomorphs and Alien Bounty Hunters - 10 of each (20 figures in total), beautifully sculpted in 6mm by Tom Pope.

Here's the page, and the title.  You get 10 "Aliens" and 10 "Predators"

BTW can anyone provide me with a comparison shot of the shortest scyting talon from the Gaunt or Genestealer spure? Preferably next to a ruler or something similar.
