Love the "Up-armour" there.

Posting some WIPs to keep up the momentum. Working on a IW decimator conversion out of the busted shadowswords I got. This one has the main outline in place, only thing missing are the autocannon sponsons, and I wanna make some big demonic looking air intakes in front of those black zip tie bits, just detailing to do now. I thought giving the tank a pugnacious pickelhaube kind of silhouette seemed thematically appropriate for the IW. Wondering if the spikes on the side are too much or not, I'd love any kind of critique (rest assured that you can't hurt my feelings).

Just got six of those classic vindicators (which are amazing models IMO) and an cheapo airbrush so I'm pleased as punch to be in the quick basecoating club. They are painted I swear, they look exactly like unpainted metal at the moment. Nothing super interesting there at the moment but they're on the desk so I snapped a pic.

Got the vanquisher painted up. Changed my mind to go with grey-green ash waste basing rather than the red. Had trouble getting the crewman in focus but you get the idea. I like the fluff of the Steel Legion as being part regular hivers and part gangers inducted straight in, so hence the unofficial markings.

And great stuff!

Shadowsword command done. Still trying to find the right balance for weathering.

Got some sentinels done, turned out a little darker than I'd like, but now I think I got a good handle for this army's colors going forward. The Lemans are done up in my interpretation of the standard Armageddon ash-waste camo scheme, these guys are ready to go into oil wash and weathering. Colors used are Vallejo Dunkelgrau primer, highlighted with neutral and wolf gray, the stripes are Brown Violet, Khaki Grey, and Buff. Nitpick, the checks are textured plasticard (really is so easy-cheaty I might have to keep doing it).
