Figured I would go with 5 guys to keep the skirmisher vibe. Just basecoat, wash and picked out metal and shields really so far. Then had to leave for work.

Sand is drying on the bases now. If it is dry quick can ink them before I sleep, then base effects when I get up. Or ink and wait for that to dry.

The silver is kinda lost/blends with the grey up close but it works at a distance.

Still not happy with them. Really need to just take a step back and look at them as an entire unit/part of an army rather than individual models.

Worked out that I can easily make 3k for this army, probably 4 with a couple more packs.

Have the next couple of units down on sticks ready to prime, as well as a shaman, doombull and my general stand.


And I might have some Stygians and Sisterhood on the way...

Gotta love beastmen!

Well, got a couple of normal beastmen units cleaned up as well as the Minotaurs and Dragon Ogres coz there was a bit space left on one of the sticks.




All primed now, should be ready to ink in the morning.

So my Vanguard order arrived very promptly, so I now have some bases to furnish my Nids. Or the Dark Eldar or Deathwing I also ordered. Stupidly forgot the transports, so my 1k DE list has a footslogging leader...

Absolutely hammered with the cold, but did manage to wash all the beastmen.

Well I have been powering through and have pretty much finished a few units off. Put in a hour or so at a time, just have some foliage to add and a final rimming. Oo-er...

Hopefully get them done tonight once the kids settle

@humakt666 - Mainly for Warmaster in 6mm scale, although I have Pendraken's Warband rules, and they should fit that, or maybe as some "Vikings" for any historical stuff, Dux Bellorum? The Osprey one.






Got them finished up last night, and waited til morning to get some good light on them.


2 Units of Herdkin, put 8 guys to a base to fill them out more than the Ungor (beastherd) but still have a rabble/raider look.



2 Units of Beastherd, taking me to 3.



Unit of Minotaurs. 5 per base as 3 was too sparse.

You can see the Dragon Ogres at the back, a Doombull hero off to the left, and Shaman hero on the right.

So little bit of number crunching, and figured that, seeing as I sneaked the Dragon Ogres in early, I should be sitting on a fully painted 1000 points if I can get the Drilled Beastmen done.

So, that will probably be the next thing to do, followed by enough Beastherd and Herdkin to cover 2k point games core allowance.
