After the "Chaos Cultist" fraction, the "Chaos Titans", and after the "Demon fraction", there are the Chaos Space Marines. As most of you already recognized, I use the normal Imperial figures and give them a hint und Nurgle touch ... beside the obvious color scheme. Same is true for the marines ... okay, the Chaos Space Marines are the old Chaos Space Marines miniatures, this old Chaos Space Marines came along in nice different positions (compared to the new on)... and I also used same old loyal infantry Space Marines. I also have unit, normally not available to Chaos Space Marines (like Landspeders). So fare I only played a hand full games (Epic 40K, not Armageddon) with fiend (which I borrowed my Crimson Fist or Ork army ... pictures will follow) and there was no problem by mixing all this fractions ... meaning loyal Space Marines, Imperial Army (sorry ... Astra Militarum), and demons. I am pretty sure in a real competitive game, following 100% the cookbook, this isn't possible. But I consider myself more as a painter and collector, so this doesn't meter match to my.

Hallo everyone. As is announced, my next Epic miniatures will be Khorne miniatures. I have a bunch of the old style Khorne War Engines ... this one:

So I decided t o copy the Roguetrader design for the other minis for this army. And this means, that I have to make same conversions. Particularly (and maybe only) for the Dreadnoughts. At the end they should look like this:

I used primarily the old Epic 40k "imperial" Dreadnoughts, green stuff, claws from the plastic ork Dreadnoughts, an ax from a beastman/minotaur, a plasma cannon from an ork infantry "man", and a assaultcannon from an old space marine plastic dreadnought. And this is the result, I am interested, how it will looks like after painting ... hopefully it will looks like from the Roguetrader era.

Actually ... I have no idea. I am not really familiar with the rule. I read the Epic 40K rulebook and play 3 games with colleges from the university, which knows Warhammer primarily from the PC games, and they used my minis ... I also have the Armageddon cookbook ... Bu I didn't mannered to read it ... just same pages.

For my Warhammer is more an hobby of converses, crafting, painting, and collecting than playing. Most likely, because I don't know that match people in my area how plays it.

So my main goal is to paint and collect an army that look cool and is consistent with the fluff.

Okay, finally I mannered to paint the minis today ... it was a undisturbed hobby sunday. So, here they ar. Somehow they looks like the alien-human-hybrid from Alien 4 ... at least the heads/faces. But I think I can be happy, in my opinion this dreadnought captured the Roguetrader "spirit".

Loving the old school dread - I'd completely forgotten about that chaos dreadnaught! Great sculpting and great paint job.
