Thank you.

Well, I've been promising them almost since the start of the thread and here they are at last. A formation of Howling Banshee Aspect Warriors:

As with all my Aspect Warriors, I've painted up a troupe of six stands, plus options for Exarch and Autarch characters using the metal Exarch that came with the Avatar, and using the old plastic winged Exarch model for the Autarch. I really like the Howling Banshee Exarch model; it's between this and the Swooping Hawk Exarch for my favourite.

So, I went a whole week without painting anything. In my defence, I did do quite a bit in the way of assembling and preparing models, but still, since I'm on holiday at the moment and have all the time in the world, it's a bit rubbish. So yesterday I made up for it by painting more infantry than I have ever painted up in a single batch before: a fourth Guardian Warhost!

I've painted up enough extra stands to allow me to swap the weapons platforms in and out in any combination.

Aside from the Farseer, these are all Troublemaker Games' Eloi Established models (which, by a remarkable coincidence, make for excellent Guardian proxies!). Although the regular troops are very nice, I actually bought these primarily for the scatter lasers, both for use as weapon platforms and in conversions on other models. The scatter lasers on my Vypers and Storm Serpents are all taken from Eloi models. That said, having some nicer-looking Guardian models is no bad thing, so this is the first of two warhosts I'll be painting using these models. As an added bonus, having two types of Guardian model in the army means that if I use the Uthwe army list then I have an easy way of differentiating Black Guardians from ordinary ones.

Looks good! The did site picture makes them look over tall, but they actually look great alongside the gw minis. Btw, you should really upload all your pics at that detail (or is it just me who sees really grainy shots normally?)

The colours are lovely, very bright, primary shades with excellent contrasts.

Basing, too, is very clean, very neat. I definitely like.

Hmm. Just to check, is this photo one that looks too grainy to you?
http://www.axelfendersson.co.uk/images/ ... rhost4.jpg

On my monitor that's about 2x actual size at roughly 94dpi. There are a few visible jpeg compression artefacts but not that many. I can try reducing the compression a bit but I'm reluctant to use larger images as once you start blowing up pictures of miniatures to many times their actual size they tend to look a lot messier than they really are.

How do the photos look to everyone else?

No that one looks great, can zoom to about double size. As for the smaller for example, the first pic of the guardians you posted (and all photos before) barely fills my phone screen and I can't zoom any closer - basically the minis are about half actual size in most of your pics ! :-) however I have a feeling this must just be mine as everyone is commenting how good they look - maybe because I'm using taptalk ??

Ahh, I think I see the problem. All of the photos I've posted directly in this thread have been thumbnails that link through to larger versions of the images. I haven't used tapatalk but perhaps that makes it hard to tell that the images are also links.

I've edited the posts so far in this thread to try and make that clearer; I'll try and remember to do the same as I go on.
