I thought I showed you a few of them briefly the first time I visited, when we were sat in your living room?

I really need to finish painting the three fish and their ocean soon and then I'm quite looking forward to start painting a titan legion. Will then finish the tyranids from earlier at some point in the coming months, need money to buy basing materials.

Oh yes but what about the Raven Guard and other stuff!! Actually I remember being really impressed seeing those Raven Guard years ago in the Fanatic magazine or something similar! Very nice, didn't realise you were the one who painted them until now. Anyway I look forward to seeing more of that fantastic painting!

Ah fair enough then. The other ones were old photos I re-posted and don't have with me. The Raven Guard had some nice conversions, but I didn't really want a black SM army and I got hold of better quality models, so I eBayed them.

The fish are finished at long last, ye gods they took forever! (well over a hundred hours over the last month and a half mainly). I'm a very slow painter and there was a lot of blending and freehand lines to do. They're not exactly epic but I thought I'd share them with you anyway. They're a present for an old friend who likes fish and who helped me out before I left. They were originally white with the squares black but I thought I could do them better than that.






Once I've found a job and got my life more back on track I plan to start painting up the titan legion(s). About time I got an epic army painted.

Looks nice Glyn, meant to say I really liked the gradation with the water panels too. Will be nice to see what you do with the epic figures.

Did you end up using the green for the eyes?? They just look silver to me, except perhaps the middle one.

Thanks guys, I just hope my friend doesn't see the photos and spoil the surprise (he's posted on a handful of times on here but not for a few years).

Yeah, there's a mix of both the greens in there too but it's subtle. I think I over-highlighted the silver more than ideal and it should have had a bit more green visible, but I'm still pretty happy with it. When I base coated them the dark metallic green at first it really didn't look that great with the other colours so I wanted to go mostly silvery. I'll pop briefly in to drop the paints back off to you soon too, thanks for the lend.

I hadn't originally planned to paint the squares, thinking I'd just leave them black, but I'm very glad I did as it looked way better after I had.
