I had a complete nightmare with dettol too. Same thing happened to me. I think it goes berserk if water is added. I have since reverted to Fairy Power Spray.

That article I pointed you towards, talked about washing with clean dettol then warm soapy water.

Well, sticking to the guide by red.sight definitely helps, hehe
All stripped now so should be able to continue painting in the next days.

To show off at least some 'progress', I found myself with a bit of time to start on a possible future project for 3D printing ;)
Not sure if I actually got enough time to get into Blender proper but it's fun nevertheless!

Can you guess what I am going for? :D

Well, too many other things to do lately but finally got time to work on all things Epic :)
Got a couple days off work and with the weather being what it is I try making some progress.

Today, finally had time to finish up the Terminator conversions and undercoated a formation of scouts, 4 predators, 7 rhinos and a command stand!
Hope to be able to get a good chunk painted tomorrow and maybe start the basing over the weekend.

Should also get my Star Wars army back any day ;D

On top of that, I am working on some terrain for our club!
Beside a concept for a dessert table, we are making good use of the Hawk Wargames papercraft buildings.
Personally, big fan of them. Great look and quality!
14 done, 40 more to go!

*Sry for the iPhone-pic-quality :-[
Also, the buildings look a bit shaky but are all straight. Just that box they are sitting on, hehe

Thanks guys, but 'lucky chinese cube'??? :)

FYI, I printed them on A4 225 gsm matte white card (laser/inkjet printable), using an Epson 8-colour inkjet printer at 66% it's original size.
*props tp Spectrar Ghost figuting the size out
Good balance between print quality and density.
Finished them with some black lining on the top! Makes a hell of a difference!

Cost: 20 sheets for a 5er.
Basically, 1 building per page. Tallest one takes two.
Time: 15-20min for a one-piece template

Tried a print on 250 gsm semi-gloss photo paper which gave a fantastic print with depth (in the blacks) and vivid colours, but impossible to fold 'n glue. >:(

The tallest one is a multipart and a ***** to assemble :nooo
2 more down... many more to go.

Unfortunately, had no time taking pictures of the finished Scouts and command stand but we had the first Minigeddon game with the paper terrain the other day!
Still need to paint one of the boards grey though ;)

Printed on heavy semi-gloss photo paper, mounted on mid-weight card board. Came out pretty sweet!
Not long and we finally got some proper Epic tables going! :)

Rock on!

As time flies by so quickly, an update is definitely overdue! :)

Much happened in April and May, especially at the Central London Wargames Club!

But first things first: after 4 1/2 months i got my SW/DKoK army back from the freelance painter in Germany!

Guess most people have seen the progress at Kunzomat's dedicated thread:
http://taccmd.tacticalwargames.net/view ... +star+wars
Overall very happy with the result and his painting skills are top-notch!

Anyway, here's the army shot again! (picture courtesy of Kunzomat)

There will be an expansion soon, likely consisting of two formations artillery, a formation of Deathstrikes, one formation of AA and some Death Rider Scouts.
Especially looking forward to the Scouts - sourced some perfect models for the theme! ^-^

We also have been very busy at the club, working on some tables to be used especially for Epic!

Our current plans contains 4 boards, each with its own theme:

- 'intact city', making heavy use of paper craft terrain
- ruined city/industrial table, using mainly GW's Epic ruins and Battletech building (if I am not mistaken)
- egyptian dessert with Amera hills and dunes and some MaxMini resin pieces
- Ork/alien dessert planet, GW Ork paper buidlings, lots of rocky hills/mountains, some crazy alien forests

The idea is to paint two tables (and matching terrain) grey and two ochre!
That allows stuff to be interchangeable and will look wicked if we have two games right next to each other on the same board colour!

I made a start the other day on the grey ones, and got two boards painted.
Went for a darker grey, which works great with existing terrain. Just one layer of colour and no texture, due to a tight budget and the way the tables are stored at the club.
Simple does it!

We had our first games on them already but need to take better pictures!
Looks like there will be lots of action this bank holiday monday so bet i can take some good ones.
Hope my Warhounds will do better that day…

Last but not least, our good club mate Meer left country for a while which we used as an excuse to organise a massive 6 player/15-18k per side carnage! :spin
Here are some random impressions of the night:
