The issue of planet fighting come in two main flavours. Firstly, a number of planets have been marked out by the Eldar as being important, either due to the fact that they were Eldar settlements in the past, or because they are the seat of an important event in the future. Secondly, planets are the main break in the webway. I would guess that the majority of the webway entrances and exits would be on planets, and they need to be protected. Besides, the Eldar also get involved in other races fights, and they often fight on planets.
"They probably have some sort of natural method like high-pitched whistles or something of that sort."
Now I just imagine Eldar with those aircraft life jackets frantically blowing the little whistles as they get eaten!
The Eldar did used to have an ancient Egyptian twist, but they diverged from this 'path' around WD127 when the Aspect Warriors were introduced. I think that it was the large head-dresses that did it.
Gothic Invasion has a diorama of the inside of an Eldar vessel, and this seems a sensible representation to me.

Hi!
This is what I dug up from the old WD's.
When the Eldar were in process of decay and indulgence (which will bring the birth of slaneesh), there were those who realized this was the path pf ruin. Of those who decided to leave the original maiden worlds (now the crone planets in the eye of terror), there were two aproaches to this. The better known one are the craftworlds, which brought the comforts and technology of the original worlds, regmineted by the "paths" of eldar life to avoid excesses.
There were those who scoffed at this since in their belief the seeds of downfall were in those comforts and technology. They chose to seek out "seeded" planets and colonize them. They chose planets where life was hard and survival difficult. They reasoned that this would purge all those hedonistic ways. Their culture became very "feudal" and they found much in common with human colonies who also had similar societies. Like the humans who used bio-engineering for live stock the exodites created dinosaur like creatures they use for mounts. They were first used as an aid in agriculture and then as war mounts.
I think the desciption of the exodites being "wood elves" is close to the truth.

Good first attempt Signius, go for it. And I read the past "fluff" as Primarch does. But who knows what the E-A "fluff" will say ?

One of the things I really like about the site here is that we really have a community here. Most of us know each other and can discuss whatever comes along. This forum is also devoid of the petty bickering that I seem to read write often at the E-A playtester's forum. We also manage to dicuss and resolve our differences without immaturity. Sometimes the cheasy jokes ara bit much, but they're perfectly manageable in the context of some good camaraderie.
Thanks everyone for an experience and forum I enjoy.
Shalom, Maksim-Smelchak.
