I don't think it's a problem. People can participate in either, both, or neither.

I didn't mean that it's a problem - I just sneaked in some advertising for EPICOMP
And anyway, as the painting challenge is monthly, it'll be on during Epicomp, Gohicomp, TOEG, and whatever else comes along. Perhaps there will be less entries in the challenge in competition months, but I'm all for it.
