Hey A!

1. Basecoat is Krylon Grey Primer spray.

2. After that I applied 5-6 glazes on the upper surfaces of very thinned down GW Skull White with a tad of Astronomicon Grey (Foundation paints). This will lighten up the grey on the top to give it that sort of weathered by the sun effect.

3. The white spots/stripes/bird droppings are Astronomicon Grey.

4. Metal areas are GWs Boltgun, with Badab Black to dull them down a bit.

5. Then Devlan Mud wash in all the seams and cracks for a little depth.

I am liking how the Devlan Mud gives the vehicles more of a dirty look while giving the recesses definition. I've found that that the Foundation paints in conjunction with the washes, because of their flatter tones, really help the epic scale models look like real vehicles vs. tinier toys, especially if you are going after the grungy, battled look.

Next up on the block are a couple of bombards and some more infantry.

Cheers,

@BL: You ain't seen nothing yet. I'm all giggly right now...however I'm playing the Krieg tonight against Saim Hann, which should calm me down some after they beat me over the head and shoulders.

The contrasts between zippy cheese merchants and a monolithic burueacracy should be entertaining, to say the least.

@BL: Well, you'll get half your wish. The camera didn't make it to the event.

Yes. One (and lots of other free extra stuff) and it will go as prize to the turney in April 2010(the other free extra stuff too).
Personally i'm more of a Quattro Formaggi type
Currently i'm collecting orders for the second Otterstuff order :)
