That's really amazing, if you are interested in having them cast I know a chap who could do it for you. I'm desperate for a few more stands of necrons!

They are awesome.  There are also some fairly durable resins out there (and FW does their Tau in non-durable stuff anyway).  You could also wire-reinforce the legs if cast in resin, though that would up production costs for a big run.

If you want to have some stuff cast you might want to check out Troll Forged Miniatures. They've also got a forum, it's basically starting sculptors community, so the more skilled sculptors join in, the better! :)

But yeah, he could probably cast them for you (for personal use) but couldn't sell them because they look too clearly Necron (which is GW's Intellectual Property), which is pretty awesome...not that often that an Epic infantry model looks convincingly like it's 40k counterpart, unless we're talking about some FW models.

I'm gonna work on infantry as well, but variants are always brilliant to have. Would he be willing to make castings for people?
