Hi,

Nice looking army Firestorm. My Crimson Fists are nearly done, just a few formations left. Then the task of rebasing them begins. :(

As it stands, I only have...

2 Dev formations
2 Assault formations
14 Rhinos (4 Dev, 6 Tact, 4 Scout)
2 Warhounds
3 Vindicators
3 Character stands
3 Drop Pods

...left to do. All of these are basecoated and drybrushed, so it's only metallics and reds that are left to paint. Hopefully I can get most of them done this week if I can motivate myself to sit down and actually get painting.

Cheers,
Freshmetal

Well I hope everyone is sitting down and not drinking coffee/water. But for the first time in many moons I actually did some painting over the weekend!!!!
:D
I had previously glued together a Cygnar battlegroup box set for Warmachine. Just a character model and 3 warjacks. Have done a couple of layers highlighting and shading for main colours. Just have to finish off some of the secondary colours and paint the bases. Plus pin an errant arm that fell off late last night....

Hopefully I'll have them done next weekend. Will then have to borrow friends digi-cam so I can post them for constructive feedback.

Cheers

James

Still working on Looted Ork Imperialis !  Adding this and that !  And preping my metal SM1 SM Dets (1 Dev & 2 Tac) !  Will use the 2 F/W Epic multi-part SMs with those Dets (Got'm from Doug long ago!) .   Updated my Eldar TO&Es, again based on SM1 & SM2 Templates/cards, plus E40K and E:A concepts.  And working on an SM1 metal Eldar Hvy Wpns Det.   Always lots to do with 9+ Epic Armies and various planet terrain.  Modeling, painting, etc., etc. !  :;):

Finished the torso for the Iron Angel, halfway through on the legs.

More work on the Raven Knight and his bike, really adding "kill" to "hail". :p

I've also prepared templates to try scratch-building one or two more bikes, so that I'll save some money instead of buying too many GW plastic kits.

I've been through a little crash course on photo adjustments, and I _think_ I have finally got it all down. The adjusted pics sure look better now.

I've been at the beginning of the academic year at the university - looks like I'm not the only computer deviant around there. And to my surprise, the female gender is actually represented as well, altough fortunately not in such abundance as in the primary and high schools.

All the learning stuff starts tomorrow, and I'll be in for a pretty wicked time-plan (and when I say it I mean it)

Anyway the old river sections are done but the new ones keep soaking the varnish like a sponge so they need multiple layers for a good glossy finish. I've snapped a few pics and added them to the
Terrain section of the Lounge.

Looking really nice.

Do you have a picture of them in action?

Thanks Jimbo
Not yet since they're so new but I plan to snap some pics of my Chaos stuff pretty soon so they'll probably be used there.
Also it's been a while since I've last had a chance to play a game of Epic so it can't be long now befre they'll see some real action :;):  I'll make sure to bring the camera then

Fantastic piece of scenery WmN, I'd buy a bunch if you were selling :D

I've not done anything Epic in a while, been concentrating on Mithril 28mm fantasy mostly with a couple of Foundry and Confrontation pieces thrown in, nice minis :)

I've been touched by the Lord of Pleasure... erh... that came out wrong... :p :D :;):

No, I've tried to start work on some of My Slaanesh and Emperor's Children units. First I've tinkered a bit with my Slaanesh Warlord Titan conversion and started shading on the Knights and Scout titans. Also the Emperor's Children marines ave been given some drybrushing.
I'm not completely sure about the colourscheme on this army. I haven't had any previous experience with the pink colours used in their scheme. Also I think it may torn out to be a lot more work painting this army than the previous Chaos factions.

Cheers! :)

Hi,

From my last post regarding my Crimson Fists:

As it stands, I only have...

2 Dev formations
2 Assault formations
14 Rhinos (4 Dev, 6 Tact, 4 Scout)
2 Warhounds
3 Vindicators
3 Character stands
3 Drop Pods

...left to do.

After a painting session today, the Dev, Assault and Rhinos are done and the reds have been painted on everything else. That only leaves the metallics and an ink wash left to do. Aiming for completion by Friday night, fingers crossed. :D

Cheers,
Freshmetal

*EDIT*

3 hours later and the Vindicators and one Warhound are done. :)

Hi,
First off I'd like to echo everyones praises of CS for getting this site back up "You my brother, are priceless. For everything else there's MC."  :D
Where to begin... I've been working on my to do list and finished up what has to be my favorite force so far.
The story behind these guys is that my friend is graduating from Univ. of Texas and has been playing epic for about as long as I have. This will be a gift for him....

Hello again,
Next up is my Custodes force so far. I wasn't entirely satisfied with my 1st ed of them so i hacked the wings off and tried to add cloaks made from GS. I can tell you my GS skills are seriously lacking. So I looked around and lo and behold; SM captains. A little bit of cutting and filing and bam!  V 2.0 imho much better.....
