Ok, some minor updates, but this will be it for awhile;

First up: greater daemon with noise marine escort:

This is after a drybrush of tallern flesh, then some dead flesh for the wings. The marines got a couple washes of leviathan purple. the black bits will be gold or silver. I'm going for the jeweled look on the giant can opener she is wielding (yup, it's a she - one of our friends noted that the bloated belly made her look pregnant...)

Next, the daemon prince, Mr. Tentacle:

Next, Objectives. Still trying to figure out exactly how to do a crater, so I haven't started on that crashed talon of foreboding yet. However, a typical "lost commander" objective marker:

...And the APC with the thrown track:

The only thing left building-wise is to put some teeth on the thrown track. It was fun adding the open hatches and details. I added some muddy tread-marks in putty for the track that was still on - it might be a little hard to see in the pic. This will probably be the blitz, as it's a relatively bigger, rectangle base.

looking good Matt. I have to say though, why would a daemon need an escort? Also, the pink daemon looks a bit too, I dunno, cute. It doesn't seem to really jump out and look sinister, more like Lotsahugs from Toy Story 3.

I can see the Rhino tracks, cool touch :)

I find Lots-So Hugging Bear to be very sinister, even if he does smell like Strawberries. ::)

Demon Prince stand is an infantry stand, so technically, it should have 3+ models on it...

ah, good point. Besides, perhaps they'll help to stop him getting distracted with killing/ torturing stuff to do what he's supposed to (if that doesn't involve killing/ torturing stuff that is)?

Hi captPiett,

Your blog really is impressive! So much, in fact, that after I'm done writing this reply I'm going to the painting station :)

I have a question about a couple of your models; can I contact you via PM?

Matt's away for a month or so and I'm not sure if he's going to have regular access to the internet. Feel free to post your questions though, I might be able to answer them having painted with him most Mondays.
