Thank you all for your kind comments! :)  I've prepared the next units for this month: 4 Havocs and 3 Vindicators for the Iron Warriors.  I had originally planned to make a seperate havoc formation (as the wip Iron warriors list allows you to do that  ), but upon looking at it again the other day I realised that Iron Warriors formations have to take 4 Havoc units, as opposed to being optional in the Black Legion/Chaos Marine standard list.  So consider these as additions to the formation I did last month... *

*of course, I could make a seperate Havoc formation if I wanted, but that would neccessitate getting another two Epic Chaos Marines with Missile Launchers; plus, between these and my Bronze 40k Chaos Marine army, I'm getting very bored of painting metallics...  :glare:

More pics as work progresses, thanks for looking!

Hello, I've finished the Havocs - the perfunctory, and rather dull pic  ??? is at the bottom of the post; but before I go in to this I'd just like to share a bit about my painting process of late.

As I'm squeezing my Epic stuff inbetween painting 40k Chaos Marines, looking after a 10 month old who has just started crawling and climbing up things (hey, is that a pair of eyes that's started to sprout from my back? :;): :D ), and general day-to-day life, I have to be ridiculously methodical and structured in my approach to painting.

That means, on one day I decide I'll do the bases on two units.  So over the next few days (depending upon how big the formation is), I'll do the same.

Then, when these are done, I'll do the base colours on the actual infantry/tanks (for these Iron Warriors, that's Tin Bits - Boltgun Metal - Mithril Silver); again, two every day.

Then, after that stage is done on every unit, for the Iron Warriors it means painting the chevrons and gold parts two units a day, then when that's done for all the units I do the horns and other details.

That's why it took me a month to paint the last 8 units of Iron Warriors!

I don't know if anyone esle here has to be similarly strict with their painting schedule due to their time constraints, but I just thought I'd share.

Any-hoo, I'll start the Vindicators tonight, hopefully get them done within the next week - then i will make an objective and this army will be fully, completely finished, and I will not add to it (someone has the permission to slap me if at a latter date I change my mind! :p )

Anyway, here's the pic, thanks for looking, more pics soon!

Looks very nice :)

Which Iron Warrior army list do you use? I developed my own based on the novel Storm of Iron :)

Thanks for your comments everyone :) ?I finished the Vindicators friday evening, managed to get 'em varnished this morning - here they are:

I've now started on the final objective for this army, I think there's not much else I can do with it, but I'm open to suggestions! ?Anyway, thanks for looking, here's the pic:

Thanks for your comments, I forgot to respond to Black Legion's question:

It's based on one that steve54 sent me, it's pretty cool!  Can you say formations of Dreadnoughts?  Siege Dreadnoughts?

Ouch, your objective makes my heart hurt. In a good, jealous sort of way.

No, wait, it's a stroke...
