Some more progress this week, with another Tactical detachment:

This means that I now have a complete battle company fully painted, so now I can move on to the next stage with this army, which is to expand it into a valid 3,000-point force. Starting with this Thunderhawk:

I got this model second-hand and one of the Lascannons had snapped off, so I decided the easiest thing to do was to completely remove both. Since they don't have them in the rules, I figure it's no great loss.

I decided to put both my Thunderhawks on bases, mostly to compensate for the very fragile undercarriage. Since THunderhawks coming onto the board without landing is pretty rare, I don't think it matters that the model is permanently on the ground. And it does give a properly-defined 'edge' to the model which is helpful when it's landed.
