I had the same thing happen to me a couple of years ago. I had the minis stored in tackleboxes which were exposed to direct sunlight.  I believe it is inded the bases that are most vulmerable to heat since the orks on the bases were unafected.

Yes, I've had to "rebase" on occassion, but not from the heat ! :O   It's easy but a bit time consuming. A lot of clipping and sanding ...

I think Epic bases warp much more easily than the ones for 28mm miniatures.

My theory is that it is because of the different thicknesses of plastic, especially the really thin bits where you put the models on.  It happens to the bases without minis just as easily as ones with models and basing material on them.

I am always really paranoid about the forge world stuff as some of it is very heat sensitive.

First up, I'd like to wish everyone here at Epicomms a blessed, safe, healthy and happy Christmas/New Year!

Now onto more Epic related matters...
I've (more or less) finished my brother's Krieg army (waiting on some Gorgons and Manticores). He wanted it to look different from my I.G. army so there are quite a few DRM and Exodus Wars proxies in there.

Anyway onto the pics.
The whole lot so far.

The Supreme Commander.

Ogryns with cool shades!

Rough Riders.

A converted Stormblade (my favourite model of this army so far - many thanks Mark_Logue for the parts).

Leman Russ' as far as the eye can see...

Shadowswords and Vultures.

Lovely models Reaver!

Support formations.

The troops.

A while a go I posted a link to a LotR SBG fortress I was making for a local gamer. Here is a LINK to a brief write up of how I did my waterfall on that board (The Real Chris asked for this info).

Next...Time to finish the Necrons!

Funnily enough I was just about to email you and ask how that army was going!  Its come out looking awesome.

Hopefully you guys get some games in over the break!

We started the day out planning on getting an Epic game in tonight but instead we ended up making a Christmas tree out of sparkellers, letting the kids stay up late and having a bit of a Christmas Eve party.  I swear we will get at least one game in over the holidays!
