Wonderful start, as always. I thought they were a traitor legion though?
Hi Jimmy !
Yes, i'm not following any fluff in relation with my DKOK.
My next project is to dive into the Horus Heresy Era with at least an Astartes Legio and some Mechanicum stuff.
So, i've decided to paint my AMTL in the Fureans Legio, active during the Heresy.

And even if i love the fluff, my Titans will be played with my DKOK. The Orange / Yellow Scheme is very good in contrast to the Turquoise blue of my Krieg army. ^^

Great work all around - I like the gradient on the girders coming out of the ground.
Thanks Stormwind.I've put a lot of time on my bases, and those gradients on the girders and city ruins are a huge part of their effectiveness.

Superb as always. As mentioned before, the transitions on the stuff sticking out of the ground are wonderful. The transitions on that orange are very nice too. On my pair I noticed quite some stratificaion. I can barely see any of that on your painted areas. Any tips?
Hi Nitpick ! The transitions on my ruins and the stuff sticking out of the ground of my base are all done with a brush.I use a lot of lavis and glacis, very thin and watered.
Here are the colors and steps to achieve the same looking effect :
- Black base
- First drybrushing with bestial brown (not on the whole surface. Let the lower part of the scenery in black)
- Second drybrushing with à sec with Bleached Bone (begin at the middle of the scenery to the top)
- Last drybrushing with pure white on top of the scenery
- Juice/lavis in the recesses with bestial brown, chestnut ink, etc.
- Light glacis to give warm colors and fine gradients to the stuff with different taints : Prince August "Red Black" (the dark red), brown, green, blue... As many colors that you want.
Here is a zoom of this treatment on a piece of ruin :

Concerning the Warhound, there is no secret : i've used an airbrush (one of my first try), and i'm very proud of the result. ^^

@Zaïus: Great start on the titans! A minor suggestion, if you can, with the reaver though. I'd leave off the shoulder armor until final assembly. I've always found that there are several areas that get VERY hard to paint once the shoulders are in place and that leaving it off has minimal impact on painting (can actually be a boon if you plan freehand).
Thanks a lot for your comment sir Vaaish.
I'll follow your advice and will paint the shoulder plates separately before final assembly. But the arms and shoulder plates will be linked with a piece of wire trough the "shoulders" for a better fixing.
