ah, I knew it was some inconsequential chapter I'd never heard of. I bet he's making it up.

I knew you never did anything without reason Matt, my faith is restored :) Out of curiosity, has DS ever won a game with his Squats?

As a matter of fact, I have. Are you implying that Squats are bad army? Or that I'm a lousy general? I'm assuming "Yes" for both. ;D

If it's going to be an EA model about to get squashed, I'd go for a marine in whatever colours Dave uses (what legion is it anyway? something obscure) or a Carnifex, claws raised in surprise.

My thoughts exactly. I like the 'fex idea too.

Dave's SM army is Salamanders Subjugators, hence the thought above. None of my "supporting cast" choices are accidental: uberchris does Iron Warriors (see powerfoot above); Dwarf Supreme does Admech and Squats...

I had a feeling that was the reason for those choices.

The Yak's were Trumpter 1:350s I believe. You got them from the Time Machine right?

I managed to find you a spare carni, a claw is detached though. $20 and he's yours!

Thanks, Dave. Is that "Trumpeter"?* (I ask 'cause Ghost will probably be googling it, not to be a d*ck - although the latter is a side benefit ;D ) Yes, got 'em at the Time Machine.
Apparently, they make a 1:144 scale LCAC (landing craft air cushion) - I wonder how big that would be? Seems like it'd have potential for a pretty cool WE if it isn't too big...

You mean the honor of having one of your precious 'nids being in one of my dioramas in a perpetual state of near-squished-ness isn't enough? I'll pass for now...

*EDIT: I just googled it, and yes it's Trumpeter. So, just being a d*ck. But it seems they do not have a website of their own, on a serious note.

Congrats on your election to the presidency of the Pen Fifteen Club.

Aren't LCACs over 25m? At 144 that be at least 17cm.

I think you're right - perhaps they'd be good for the skimming Ordinatus Rediculousnossis
16DC, 6 Voids
CC 6+, FF 5+ (should be 3+, but I don't want it to be overpowered... what?)
Transport: may transport 20 of the following units: infantry, leman Russ, Chimera, hydra, etc. etc. etc.

good job! was it against a blind 4yr old? :) I mean, short legged little guys that can't run fast and prefer axes vs. 7ft superhumans with guns that fire exploding dustbins. It's not like the game is rigged in their favour..

there's something so so wrong here... no Tk CC attacks, no fearless/resolute/Ijustdon'tcarewhatyoudo, no special rules of any sort. What were you thinking Matt? Shame on you!

Thanks guys. I was able to find a company website, but, being unbale to read Chinese, found it unhelpful. I think I'll be getting Su-25 for Lightning Strike Fighters, and not sure about the T-Bolts or Marauders. Maybe I'll just give FW my soul in exchange for pieces of resin anyway.

You're absolutely right - I knew I had forgotten about something! I just assumed fearless went without saying. But, I'm currently testing the spawning ability with it: When it's >15cm from the enemy, it spawns 3D6 guardsmen, or 2D6 Stormtroopers. Don't worry, it's -1D6 for within 15cm of an enemy fm. 35cm movement, by the way.

Silly muppet, it doesn't need CC TK attacks as it's a skimmer. Maybe I should give it teleport and jump pack to balance that nerf out however...

aha, but if something that big lands on you, you'd be pretty squished, right? (unless you were a SM, in which case your biogenetically reormagosmiphried testicles would drag you out)

Some more WIP pics. More soon...

Noise marines in all their technicolor finery, before the wash:

And the misfit Baneblade company is done, in a slightly different scheme than my other IG tanks/superheavies:

The metal parts came out darker in the pics than in person; they have a more copper undertone with just a bit of metal.

More Noise Marine WIP:

And the Havocs get a bit of highlight:

Like magic, the noise marines are DONE! In the same post even!

I really like how these turned out; crazy, but toned-down crazy. Badab black covers up a multitude of small stray paint strokes too :P
