Next up, a new acquisition: talons of foreboding for dropping onto the enemy's face:

I have to figure out how I'm going to mount these - the only GW art I've seen with these is on lexicanum, and the file is small and crappy, but it seems as though the pod should rest on the tips of the (extended) claws when landed. But these models look like they're in flight mode. Oh well. Probably just some mild OCD at work there. One or two will be modified somewhat to be objective markers I think. For example, I might make a crashed pod in the middle of a crater, with dazed character lingering nearby, wondering when rescue will arrive.
Finally, I've started the noise marines, and they're coming along nicely. I'm going for a more random, more technicolor look for these guys (for obvious reasons). I based them old rose on top of the white prime, with armor plates of dark grey, purple, bright pink, along with some bright pink edging on some. I'm halfway through the metal bits; gold is next:

Next they'll get a black wash like everyone else to tone them down (but not too much).
Since this is a long weekend here in the States, I should be able to get a bunch more done. I will soon answer the question, "what is a noise marine's preferred method of conveyance when a rhino APC just doesn't have the right... 'flavor'?"
