All in i'd say it's been 8 weeks of work, from stripping old' mini's, cleaning and undercoating to complete; i have had the luxury of time though as ive mentioned.

Have you got a complete shot of yr finished sisters Warhead? I'd like to see 'em.

BATREPS: yep; got one coming up for you after a 3k Drop Pod list does battle with some heavily armoured guard on new years day; expect it to be brutal!

WHAT'S NEXT: Tyranids for my Tale of Tactical Wargamer Thread, which i expect to be finished pretty quickly; i'll be using dips etc.  Any spares from the 3k i'm prepping on there will appear here.
In between that then i'll be showcasing some Imperial Guard and Eldar Spares that i've been meaning to finish before going into detail with my ork army (another 8K!) though that's about 1/2 done so shouldn't be too bad!
After that...chaos? Tau? who knows! See you tmw!

Congrats on getting all that painted! That's quite a lot of marine infantry to put together!

Here we are gents; you've been waiting a long old time since i promised a PROPER group photo, but i know consider this army DONE! You can see a complete set of photo's i put together for the army in this post (and it would be cool if any comments about the army as a whole could be made over there), but in the meantime i leave you with these parting shots:

Jobs a good 'un!
Ryan

Details and some photo's of what's coming next will be posted after a bit before new year; in the meantime these boys have got a game to play down the local GW store tonight, so i'm gonna put some curry in my belly, hop on my bike, and see what i can blow up!
As promised a battle report from round my mate's on New Years Eve will ensue in a separate thread.

Great job MoK, that's not only impressive, but inspirational too!

I also think that last pic should be your new avatar!

Oh; i can guarentee that if i do give up playing epic then i'll be giving people on here the first chance at buying all my stuff. I wonder how much it would fetch anyway? I'm gonna do a bit more of my own stuff first but if i can up standards a bit more i'd like to try taking on some commisions.

I hope you go into the new year with guns blazing!

I'll give it a go! Last nights game wasn't TOO successful though! Call it a practice run!

Hi Ryan

Ive been following your blog with interest. Its been great to see thye army building up over time. Cant believe how you can paint to such a high standard and also so quickly. Magor congrats on achieving both.

Look foward to your next painting blog. Did you say Ork and ten Nids?

Right then! I'm back from new year's festivities and will be posting a battle report in the next couple of days before it escapes my memory.
In the meantime however i give you a brief look into what's to come over the next month or two whilst i also paint my nids for my ToTW thread. However i WILL be taking a break from lots painting whilst i work on a couple of essays so until then expect a few mop up operation for my guard and eldar; after that; well, as always pictures paint a thousand words!

EPIC ORKS

(a close up of the great gargant for those that haven't seen him before)

and the state of this project thus far: it's a little over 8k again.

I knocked these up before my game with Steve (Link to Batrep) so as we wouldn't be playing with unpainted miniatures; they're not great but they'll do for now:

Man but those Mk1 Russes look even better with a dozer blade.  :wow:

Considering the average level of skill here I bet at least half of the world's greatest epic painters have congregated here. Whenever I need to feel insignificant I just take a peek at whatever painting thread has been updated most recently...  :))
