I hate paintstripping. It's the most distasteful part of this whole hobby. And that includes playing against gits .

Me too me too...... but that is mosty because I am a quassy retard and I bought a couple of hundred bucks worth of second hand miniatures and put the whole lot in a solvent that melted plastic but not waterbased paints. ?It took me about a week to get the few metal minatures out of an entire armies worth of melted plastic black stinky goop and the paint still hadn't come off of the metal ones. ?One of my "friends" convinced me that it couldn't possibly melt plastic because it came in a plastic container...... obviously not all plastics are made equal....... come to think of it plastic glue comes in a container that looks like pastic and that stuff works by disolving models....... you live and you learn hey.... at least it wasn't epic stuff, I would have felt like I had committed a crime against the hobby if I had melted some rare epic nid infantry or something.

There is a thread on this site, about "Stripping" ... short answer - Simple Green = plastic ; nail polish remover and/or Turpentine = metal ... And clean all resin with vinager then washed in dishwashing soap or Oxyclean ... ?

?Still not sure how I'm going to paint all my SIB GW/Pendraken/GZG/Scotia Bug !? ? :alien:
