Until my new infantry arrive I've done a test scheme on some old plastic infantry. These guys are with a rhino that will definitely make "the cut".

I have my infantry!

Waiting for me when I got in from work was a box full of very nice power armoured dudes.

Splashed a bit of paint on the first stand to get a feel for the models.

The base needs finishing & I can see a few bits I need to touch up (the camera is cruel), but here goes:

I now have a full tactical detachment done. The infantry dwarf the old plastic GW ones, but at least they now look like genetically enhanced super humans:
