Hi BL

Not scenery its a model, but the cover will lift off and underneath will be a space wreck board game.
difference been its not a space wreck ! but a ship in good nick with crew missing, just termies and aliens and lots of corridoors !

It will all become a bit more clear when i manage to get the top detail done so i can start work on the actual board ;D

Regards epic

Bit more work done on the tower sections, glad really that this bit is removable as its getting quite tall !

Not planning on going much higher though, maybe just some atennas on the roof or weapons.

Also added some more observation windows.

Anyway here are some pics

Started with a box, just wood frame and plasti card

Then added a roof, cut the corners off at angles to try any keep away from everything been square

Image

Getting low on plasti card so decided to try a pitch roof with some panels i had left over, I was happy with the way it turned out and fills a large space also which is good :)

Then added some more sections and roofs and some windows

Some shots of the ship from the side

Thats about enough wood class for this evening for me ;D

Well managed to replicate most stuff on to the other side, still have a wing to do,
But managed to attach the front cannon. Also started to try some paint on it.

The green body colour is a matt colour sample, cheap as chips and i got four little pots which should cover the body, it goes on well and covers in one coat.

I also have tried valspar project enamel for the white and shiny bits, the matt white will need a good few coats, the same as the brass colour, but its water based, and gives of no fumes which is nice ;)

looking at doing round the turrets box section white but will try a few options to see what looks best.

Its going to take a while to paint me thinks ;D

Anyway here are some pics forgive the quality my camera is pants

Hi Guys,

Cheers for the nice comments much appreciated, Managed to finish the paintwork colour scheme
that im going to have, still need to add more white coats to the gun bastions and finish the little buildings above them.

The valspar brass paint im really happy with as its a bit less dull than gold so is not to bright and looks antique which i kind of like. the green is a touch bit darker than the photos show as the flash was on.

Anyway here are some pics

Now just got to paint the other side, fit a wing and start work on the rear engine thrusts have already found some nice plastic plant pots ;)

Cheers epic
