I've taken the plunge and got some AK interactive washes and filters, though the Russes below were done without. Maybe I'll try them out on my 40k stuff instead.

I tried out about 12 different painting methods on these tanks, and they all ended up looking the same!!

and got one weathered up with details painted to see what it looked like:

They look like old OOP forumware Death Korps troops to me.

Thanks all! Correct moredakka, I'm trying to figure out the best way to paint them now.

In terms of what's next, I'm trying to work out how to convincingly number up an armoured regiment, then get busy with the airbrush to paint it all up in a oner.

So far its 4 leman russ tank companies, a support company with execuitioners, demolishers and destroyers in it, a scout company and two artillery companies.

Here's my tests for the infantry so far, having trouble with how to pull them off still:

Took me awhile to decide on the best way to paint these figures myself. Sprayed them grey, did a light wash to make the detail stand out, painted all the details then did another overall wash to finish them off. Worked out fine for me this way as can be seen in my thread.

That's a lot of vehicles you plan to paint sir i look forward to seeing the finished results.
