Yep, I assume shrinkage is the reason for them being thinner. However, the leg/tail changes look like sculpted additions, rather than deformations.

Just remarking on it from a technical POV, it's not like you personally wouldn't know. :-)

Further update, this time on the boars: the metal boars sold in the feral pack by SG are different from the plastics, again, looking to be based on the plastic but with slight modifications. While i haven't got my hands on one, I spotted some in spaint2k's log over on Warseer (http://www.warseer.com/forums/showthrea ... I-BFG-Epic)) and he obligingly took some comparison photos, which i've edited together here: (plastic on the right, metal on the left).

The plastic ones are slightly chunkier than the metals. They are slightly thicker from left to right and the circle on the left flank of the plastics is more circular than on most of the metals.

The only major difference is the appearance of the right hind leg, as viewed from the left side of the model. The metal models have had the area under the tail filled in with fur.

If anyone has some metal ones i'd be keen to buy one or two, or swap for plastics ;)
More good intel ! Thanks !
