Taking a break from my Flesh Tearers today...to paint some small Raptors for Saurian Safari, and to build a table-sized city for some Kaiju Rampage action! :;):

Get those boys fixed up and back on line ASAP, Sailor ! :O   Was working on the LotR Ruins and converting them to Lizardmen, by adding L/men glyphs, crenelations, etc.  And doing the same to a Gladiator 15mm Aztec Temple.  I'm going to have a number of L/men ruins for my Epic Jungle terrain set ! :D

Working on ToEG stuff, plus a Shadowsword and a piece of 40k scenery (destroyed Sentinel).

Question on the shadowsword - first Epic SHT (as opposed to Titan) I've painted, using what is essentially a Field Grey (equal mix Chaos Black, Codex Grey, Dark Angels Green) with Bleached-Bone-over-Rotting-Flash camo stripes, ala my 40k tanks. WHat's going to be the best way to pick up the detail on the models at this scale - drybrush with a lighter shade of the base colour, or actually sit there and line around it instead?

Finished the Iron Angel and his diorama base. Sculpting, that is. Painting is yet to be done. Oh, right, and the mud-splash effects as well, but they are drying on the moulds as we speak.

To speak my mind, the model PWNS anything I ever did before - except the Callidus, but she is still WIP & Iron Angel was done faster - mere couple of weeks. :p

As to the Callidus, she's on the verge of being finished, as I have spent some extra time on the model again.

I spent majority of the weekend on re-packing my extensive classic games archive so that it takes less space. 7-Zip sure helps a treat :) , but majority of preparation still has to be done manually. :(

Personally having tried both methods I think lining looks better though it is far more time-consuming to do, my prefered method is to leave black undercoat at the junctions when doing the base colour then highlight the smaller details.

...And the madness continues! :D  You certainly haven't lost your touch Krooza. Awsome model! -I particularly like the cigar!

I'm still working on my Titan entry to the EpiComp. Also I've done some painting on a couple of more BFG ships.

...Which reminds me: I bought a couple of Vallejo's Model colour series paints (not the miniature series) because they were about ?0.50 cheaper. Anyway I used the black to undercoat a couple of the ships. Unfortunately it seems that those paints don't stick very well to the surface of the model. At least my drybrushing would cause parts of the paint to come of in some areas.  The colours are nice enough for most detail work because of the hgh pigment concentration (and the red and yellow son't need a white undercoat) but they don't appear as strong as the GW paints.
I'll have to buy a couple of Vallejo's proper miniature's paints and see how these work in comparison.

The thread that won't Die!

Most of my gaming has been put on hold due to needing to find a new job.  52 days until I am a civilian again!
