Thanks for all this advice/inspiration pics!  Loving those scouts & Daemon Prince, Doc, and that's an excellent Damocles Mojarn - how did you do that antenna 'cause I want to convert one to be part of an objective for my Iron Hands army?

Anyway, this has been a great inspiration, so much so that I'm going to attempt converting my 40k Fire Storm force commander, Captain Hellvane, in to 6mm for my Epic Fire Storm Drop Company - I'd originally just used one of the commanders from the new Epic Marine Characters Blister (here's how he is presently, in 40k scale:)

Yeah, do tell cos i want one too!

Firestorm your commander is cool, i am very tempted to have a go myself, but i got loads on my desk as it is. So much infact i can barely see the desk :;):

Doc: You gotta teach me how to do those scouts! I want some!

Unfortunately i think those photos are all i got left, PC World had to wipe my hard drive towards the end of last year.
You know, no matter how many times you hear some one say "Always back up your work" you never do. Infact i still dont :p we live and learn or not as the case may be.

If i get round to tidying my desk, and not get distracted and build Firestorms commander, i will have a go at making a sniper rifle again.

Unfortunately I don't have any WIP pics but it was so simple conversion I might just as well build a new one just so I could take some pics of the process.

The antenna is made from pieces of GW sprue, plasticard and thin plastic rod. It is mounted on the round base of the poor Squat warrior who got chopped up to pilot the engineering walker.

Sounds simple enough, I'm sure I can get those bits together!  :)  I was planning on putting it on the Rhino/tank part of a new Whirlwind/Hunter.

I'll echo Mojarn's earlier comments regarding glue  and Doc's comments about pulling pieces from other Epic scale models.  To me, that combo is not only easy to work with, it tends to look good as a finished product.
