Hi Guys,

I can see this scenario working with Eldar and Tyranids... :D

Shalom,
Maksim-Smelchak.

Chaos vs. SM or IG might work, too.

You know what else might be really cool, an Epic battle like Alesia!

You could limit their "Ammo" or number of shots of some of the weapons. Say that the Orks caught them on their way back for supplies. The limit could be for this one game only.

I have done that with some of the games I played with Stargrunt. Makes things interesting when you have to deside when to use the "power" and when not to.

Well, I know you have Eldar and Bugs, so give it a shot. Take pictures, and post a report on how it goes.  :p

Just like to "bug" you.

Hi!

Add some gargants to the warbikes as well as many ork tanks and that would solve the problem....  :;):

I was hoping to do a small piece here, I think Gargants would spoil the whole point of this project

The land train slowly ground to a halt, the vast reverberation from the detonation of the nuclear land mine echoing through the hull.

The chief mechanic looked up at his master control panel with dread as alarms started to wail.  The fusion plant status showed a failure and though the containment field remained intact, all power output had reduced to zero.  The backup generator had come online but that only provided sufficient energy for basic life support and basioc sensors.  He reached for his communication panel to talk to the Land Train's Commander.
------------
The Land Train Commander put the telephone down, contemplating with a frown what his chief engineer had told him.  Thats when the sensor proximity alarms started to wail and information began to flood the Combat System with data about the incoming Ork warband...
-----------

Cue scenario!  :)

OK, Thanks Lextar for twisting my ill-disclipled wragamer's mind away from my current processes and putting me down another route...

I have been plagued by images of Roman Style Legions (played by tight knit IG formations of course) marching over vast tracts of land on the "Planet" Gaul, killing the massed tribal savages (played by feral orks naturally) until all is pacified and "Colonel" Caesar is established as the first Imperial Governer of the newest addition to the "Empire"

:p

Actually, come to think of it, I'm surprised GW hasnt already ripped off this piece of history and put it into its offical fluff! :;):

Yep, that was the kind of thing I was thinking of when I suggested limiting the Ammo. What ever reason you give, just create some limits on the LandTrain.

Give 'em time. They'll get to it eventually. Just look at current E:A fluff with references to the "kentrukia rifle" and an "Egyptus" battalion fighting at Beda Fomm. Please, could they be any less imaginative!   ???

Hi!

I think Tas's approach would be doable and certainly "fluffy" in a background sense.

I agree, I love the start he posted, now the rest of the game needs to be written, played, and pictures posted.  :;):

The original idea was to try and make terrain pieces and small scenes on these spindles of wasted and spam CDs (like my Slaughtered Like Wolves project).

So raiding my orks, I found a few old metal Ork bikes and plastic stuff. These happily went round the edge of a CD, but leaves very little space in the middle.

So the problem is, do I make this piece large or just have a small squad of IG surrounded by orks taking cover behind a few boulders (and IG aren't that easily posable/convertable  :( )

And this got me thinking of another scene... Tremors... when they're stuck on the rocks with no escape.... hmmm...
