Nice conversion. However, I have it on reasonably good authority that a board member fond of computer aided design recently purchased a FW Hornet model. just saying.
Yes I saw that, far better than my proxies and very exciting. Still, it gave me the opportunity to play around with press moulding and I'm sure I'll find another use for the skills I picked up.
This weekend I've managed to keep my interests focused in one place to finish off the first few tanks I've been painting and construct a few more. In particular I've been magnetising
"Epic & Cool" superheavies, no pics yet but it did lead me to consider how I construct my models and the tools i use, after I simultaneously glued a 2mm magnet to top of my fingernail, cut deeply underneath my nail and then accidentally glued the wound back shut again with more superglue. From now on it's clean desks, forethought and planning.
Additionally I’ve taken a bit of a risk with some Forgeworld stormblades I had painted up in my skitarii colours. I’ve managed to strip them of paint with no discernable negative effects using
Fairy power spray. It was brown trousers time whilst I waited to see if I’d dissolved my now OOP (and according to ebay expensive) models but it all came out great.
So finished now is;
my first of four salamander platoons

My first Leman Russ company (Red company). Note the pintle mount on one, the intention is to do this for all at some point.

My first superheavy company of proxy stormhammers

And here's a conversion I was playing with to proxy a demolisher, however the paint scheme really doesn't work and after reviewing Spectar Ghosts
minervans I think I'll take a leaf out of his book and just go for black flashes to denote commissars rather than all black tanks.

And everything so far which is a fairly impressive 1250 (ish) points.

Next up
MORE TANKS!!!!!
