Another way to speed up super-glue is to breathe on the joint, as it is water vapour which causes superglue to set.

Cool, well you learn something new every day.

And then once you've got past that, the holes don't bear any resemblance to the size of flight base pegs... Grrr.

All my flying/skimming stuff is mounted on coins with brass rod, so the holes are about the right size for me :)

Anyway, back on topic, most annoying models - definitely the 6-part epic marines. I've only just finished my first stand of puppies since games day & the thought of 11 more stands scares me stupid!

You bought 60 of those guys? Are you mad?

Hang on, don't answer that :)

Hi!

For me it was the old style gargant, especially the hull.

I found that to be a pain, it kept falling apart. :(

Yep, those annoying warped sides on big blocks of resin can't just be solved with the hot water technique!

Or lick one of the surfaces.

O'course, better to do that on the tin based white metal, rather than the lead based old skool metal...

Licking em works a treat. Rough up the surfaces, lick one of em, superglue on the other, anaerobic reaction gets sped up, glue sets faster.

Or just dab a thin film of water on one surface with your paintbrush...

And, make sure that you lick them BEFORE you put superglue on it!

For the most part ... F/W EPIC models are too delicate and some of their stuff is hard to assemble ... "But what are you going to do !?" ??? :{ :;):

Hi!

I havent encounter such a problem with FW, but indeed they are fragile. I've been lucky I guess.

Another annoying model for me, was sticking the broken exhausts back onto the FW Ork Gunwagons.
