Very nice! :)  I agree that the eyes could stand out shightly more. To do this quite easily simply add a drop of 75%yellow/25%green to the centre of the eyes. It looks even better if you do it to the lower half of the eye  To make them look even more glaassy you could add a tiny spot of white at the top to imitate light reflecting in the glass.

Damn - I could've sworn I'd posted a reply, but the forum appears to have eaten it :(

The eyes, so far, have had a DA Green basecoat and a Snot Green / DA Green highlight. I'm considering straight Snot Green as a second highlight, mind. The eyes will also have a Gloss VArnish / Green Ink mix applied when the model has been sprayed with matt varnish. The same stages have been applied to the green cables.

The red cables have had a Red Gore / Chaos Black base coat, with straight Red Gore as a highlight. I'm considering Blood Red / Red Gore as a second highlight, but that might make it too bright.

The base have Vomit brown painted around the edge, then two coats of Graveyard Earth over that. The top of the base was dry-brushed Graveyard Earth with a chaffed old Small Dry Brush, then the same was done with Bleached Bone.

I'm considering just doing a quartered check on the (as we're looking at it) bottom left leg. Symbols of some sort on top. Of course, I could do a quartered check, then apply the same the the quateres, so as to do a 4x4 grid of checkedness. Hmm.

I've attempted the freehand chec pattern, and I've given the armour a coat of Regal Blue mized with Blue Ink. The eyes have also had a Snot Green/Sunburst Yellow mix painted in as well, at about 50/50 split.

Just got to tidy up the freehand, matt varnsih it, then use the Green Ink / Gloos VArnish mix in the eyes and he be done.

I think I liked it better before the check pattern. But then that is just me. :p

I'm not convinced yet by the checks, to be honest with you, dafrca - I'm gonna give him till the end of the weekend, and if they haven't interested me by then I'll repaint over them.

For some reason the coat of Purity Seal has made the blue go from blue to BLUE, though. I ended up repainting the leg blue, though I did try the yellow and black hazard stripes first, and wasn't happy with them, either. The other two got a yellow and black striped cable each, though :)

Agreed. I just can't help thinking plump cyborg SpaceMarines....Too bad a new sculpt is unlikely with the recent cutbacks at FAnatic. It could eassily become a VERY cool model.
