Well, I did promise a pic today, so here we go....
Nothing is totally finished from the first batch yet, but I'm very pleased with my painting pace- the whole Leman Russ company is 3/4 done- it just needs the detailing finishing and some tidying up!

Nice Leman Russ' there Storm. Can't wait to see the army develop here!
(Side note....I was with stormseer at Games Day when he got the Leman Russ Company boxed set. You should have seen the smile on his face when the guy charged him ?12 instead of ?20!)

Hi!
I must say the newer Leman Russ tnaks are much better than the SM/AT era one.

Yes they are, but I have a company of the older style still, just for nostalgia value of course! ?
That goes for a number of the older minis though, some were just weird and have been replaced with much better and crisper minis

Nice work, Storm ! I have a platoon or 2 of each L/Russ type from SM1 on, including F/W ...

Yes dafrca, thats the one - the orig Mk1 Russ. In putting my stuff togther this week, I discovered I was 3 shy of completing my Mk1 Russ Company of 'Old Guard'. How annoying!
Markconz - if you could check they are Mk1 that would be very sweet indeed. end of the month is very nice indeed.
I'm inventorying now so later this week I'll be able to give you a list of stuff I can swap for.
I'm loving being back into my Epic stuff - absence makes the heart grow fonder indeed - Cheers to All!

Tas, if Markconz can not spare them, I can. Let me know either way.

*cough* Back OT please....
The Leman Russ company is finished!
Here is a rundown of the painting method;
1). Prime with black, 2). Brush over with mix of 75% Skull White/25% Rotting Flesh (I've called it 'Off-White' & mixed up a pot of it to do all my tanks)... 3). Brush over with Skull White, 4). Paint heavy bolters and lascannon tip with Chaos Black, 5). Pick out tracks & weapon barrels with Boltgun Metal, 6). Pick out stowage- pack rolls in Bleached Bone, backpacks & other stuff in Camo Green. 7). Inking (all watered down about 40/50%)- black for the tracks, flesh wash for the bone stowage, and green for the green stowage...
. Go over bone stowage again with Bleached Bone to highlight, 9). Tidy up.... 10). Last details- company marking stripes on hull front in Blood Red, and the headlights in Enchanted Blue, with a little highlight of Space Wolves Grey... 11). Final tidy up, and finish!
