We just need good macro photos. Those are hard to get though, even from the manufacturers themselves. It doesn't take a fancy camera though; almost any point and shoot has macro mode, and many have a super macro mode (for 1-2cm distance). You probably need a $15 mini-tripod or bean bag so you can set it on 2-second timer if you don't have enough light.
But these pictures are enough to make me very interested in at least a couple of models...
