If Epic minis do go OOP, will ebay prices explode?

The Eldar range, especially.

Don't know. Prices will have to rise as supply dwindles but demand for Epic seems to be declining pretty quickly. Short spike with a correction then a slightly steeper upward plateau I'd wager.

What about the whole resin dust issue, and selling it to kids?

I don't know. The bitter part of me says GW will either only label the boxes, or also pay it lip service in store, basically enough to cover themselves legally. That may or may not coincide with reality.

Grandma wendy has enough people in there think tank to cover the health and safety issues, As said in many other posts on this forum the 28mm stuff has the stores full of very young kids so dont think there will be an issue, Its only really a drama with a dust if your converting the miniature, then you changing it from its standard production form as it left the factory anyway so that would cover them legally.
I hope not though as i would not want my kids breathing in contaminated dust :(

Whats the big change though, is it because metal prices have risen... Just seems really strange to jump the whole hog to resin...

As for the epic range from GW drying out there will always be plenty availible hopefully on the trading posts on this forum, and you can pretty much still get everything of ebay but have to pay a slight premium ???

Regards epic

Would it? Conversion is an accepted and encouraged part of the hobby. How would risks entailed by conversion not be, at least in part, GW's responsibility? Well, I guess they are unlikely to be sued for X-acto cuts, so this is little different.

You're assuming they're not using a new formula of resin, etc.

My understanding is the shape and size of the dust is as bad for you as the actual chemical composition. It's like cocaine, full of sharp edges and pointy bits.

Im actually optimistically hoping that GW have discovered some sort of wonder resin that will be easy to work and not snap and have safe dust. Seems unlikely but, despite their past history, I can't see GW being stupid enough to swap metal for resin unless they have something good lined up. They can't be that stupid ::)

My opinion: with werewolves and zees and such around, there has never been a better time for Epic fun.

I agree, but the number of Epic players "in the know" is a fraction of the total. It's really hard to get someone to start a game that they think doesn't exist in any real capacity any more, regardless of the truth of the matter. It's hard enough when the models are mail order only, think how hard it will be if they cease to have any official presense.

If Chapter House wins out against the GW lawsuit, would that open the door for people to sell "usable with Epic: Armageddon" minis? Or would selling 6mm versions of 28mm models still be disallowed?
