LOL

AoC's got an obsession...

E&C: Isn't 50mm the approximate size of most Garagants in the official range?

Yeah, this may be the start of a new "truescaling" project. :-)

I would also love to see any built Stompas and Supa-Stompas out there, including CAD models..... nudge.

So, ignoring current miniatures available, what would be sensible heights/sizes for the current stats?

(Hypothetically, if I was going to build my own, what would be the 'right' size for them?)

There's quite a few Stompa conversions in my Ork hobby thread, but these by Cemeifukan are my favorite. :D

I'd say anything close to 40mm tall is good for a Supa Stompa. WMN has a great one on this page.

Truescale Gargants would be awesome!

If you use the relative size difference between the Epic models as a guide, you'd get Great Gargants around 100+mm tall/80mm wide with a Stompa standard at 45mm tall. Talk about an abundance of creative space. ;D

Cheers Ghudra, reminded me of another army I've started and yet to finish.

I was infact planning on making my OGBM army truescale (or at least my interpretation of what truescale for ork machines should be), the stompas I built are all about 30mm tall. I've since bought 3 mega gargants which I'm going to use as a frame to create great gargants and then I was going to scratchbuild gargant and kustom gargants.

If somebody could find it in their hearts to CAD up this concept stompa though I'd be eternally grateful.

Oh, in other news, anyone know where I can find a cheap second hand Stompa? :-)

Yep, the Mark Gibbons illustration was everything the Ork community had hoped for in a Stompa and instead GW gave us a flower pot with skinny arms. :-\
I'll second the request to CAD the MG version. ;D

Here's my 2 Supa Stompas. They were made several years ago and have served me well.

Cheers,

Those are two lovely machines!

I'll post pics of my own creation when I can get my camera to work...

Onyx, those are excellent, exactly how I think a stompa should be, as shooty as they are unbalanced

Whilst we're sharing here are my much more humble "thimble" stompas

Nonsense to humble Ceimeifukan! Those are the nicest and most inspirational stompas I've seen, I love the scratch-building and they really express the orky character.

I concur, those are very nice stompas, ceimeifukan !

Although I must admit I love everything Ghudra does with orks too so I won't say "the most", but definitely among the most brilliant ones around.
