Quote (Tas @ 26 2003 June,17:01) | So what categories to have.... ?My initial 2 cents worth:
Single War Engine (including Titans) Single Vehicle Detachment/Company Force (ant type) | I would think maybe Conversions & Dioramas as well.
Should War Engines and Titans stay as one or split Titans off into their own catagory?

Hi!
I say separate them (titans and super heavies), I'd break down the following categories:
1. Battleforce, defined as a complete units of vehicles, infantry and one large model as center piece.
2. Single titan model
3. Single war-egine
4. Custom, free for all.
Hows that?

How many others are interested in getting this off the ground then? ?Is it worth starting a poll?

So after all the talk at the G-Days & on line, what are the E-A Armies ? SM, IG, Orks, Eldar, Chaos, 'Nids and eventually Necron, Tau & Kroot ?

I would throw some stuff in. I don't think I can hang with most of the pics I've seen on here because I normally paint to table-top quality, but it would force me to actually get pics available.

I'd enter, I've never actually built a diorama in epic scale. It would be a cool challenge.

Hi!
I think the goal of something like this is for everyone to show a lot of pictures of epic stuff. It doesn't matter if you win ( I certainly dont expect to), but I just want to see lots and lots of pics!

I would be happy to set up either new boards or simply new sticky topics for this purpose. I could even host pictures for those of you who dont have web space. Just let me know what you guys need. I could organise this if there is enough interest and no-one else wants to. LMK.

This is the most detailed answer I have seen so far.

Primarch | So could I post pictures from some of the others from my group if I clearly ID them as such?
I know of a few I would love to add to the gallery if we do this.

Thanks Dafrca !!! So Tau & Necron are still in the rumor zone, I take it. Jervis reminds me of Baghdad Bob, with his statement about releasing 'Nids in both 40K and Epic at the same time, if I read that correctly. From what I can tell, 40K players & Epic players are two different animals ... Jervis just does not get it ... again ... This rates up there with G/W UK stopping Epic production until E-A and G/W US continuing to produce like rabbits !!! Again G/W is successful in spite of itself !!! Doh !!!

I don't think its that poor a decision, Legion4- I can see the logic in it- if Epic is recieving some support in WD, then people will start getting interested (hopefully), and when the new 40k Tyranids come out, then I can understand people thinking "an Epic army would be cool" -I would think that it would make 'Nids more popular as an Epic army than if they were released at another time when there was nothing new about them in 40k...
