I heartily recommend ZBrush. Just got the crew at work to start using it, got familiar within just a few days, already used it on production within the first week. Very cool but we use it mainly for displacement maps for another package- can't comment on the ZSphere modelling capability as I'm not sure it's very useful to me, but if you use it in the context of importing a basic base mesh and fabbo'ing it up to export a tight detailed mesh, it's fantastic. It has a 30 day trial, see if you can squeeze that one into the schedule ;-)

ZBrush acquired. Credit card cancelled (fukkers!). Now trying to learn how to do stuff.

Fattdex, how I envy your rapid proficiency with this. I feel like it will take months before anything productive happens.

Then again, my first MoI object, the Arma enclosure, took me 2+ months to do. Now I could do it in a few days.
