Never used Foundation colors before I think it is time to try it

Foundation colours are great for basecoats, you can water them down a huge ammount so they'll flow nicely, yet they stay opaque.

They're rubbish for highlighting though, as you want to build up translucent layers when highlighting, and foundation colours will simply cover over the base coat with a new base coat.
