Upcoming decision: make the bottom part with the support braces together (for travelling), or spread apart (for firing)?

i wanted to ask this in the appropriate thread but could not find it again. you recently listed all your sculpting attempts and there success/failure. you seem to be doing quite well now. is this just more experience? and if so any hope of resurrecting any of those scupts (read necrons)?
