So what to use for the four corner towers, as it happens it's Leaxe to the rescue once again with more funder goodies. I had two of these sentry towers from the first funder (more on order) which look like they were made for the job. Very nice pieces that give a great visual reminder back to the imperator kits own towers.

With a little trimming to gain a totally flat area to glue some strip plastic channeling these pieces just butt up against the arches nicely.

Your Emperor design mixes one of the best models GW has churned out recently with 'classic' platform. I've been prepping for similar project as I like that combination.

@ HerrR, thanks dude, yes the knight kit is a great model and ideal for this project. I look forward to seeing your project started.

Small update, been thinking on the secondary weapon systems and was going to use some FW resin basilisk guns for the side cannons. But having a big stash of Leaxe's goodies sat looking at me it occurred to me that I could use his small turretted bunkers from funder 1 instead. These would have the advantage of elevating the weapons above the parapets once fitted and allow different weapons to be used should I wish with no requirement to do crew figures for the guns.
