And that does make sense, red ... I did not know that was a problem for caseless. I figured  some smart guys would have fixed that !  :D  And yes, caseless for MBTs is a great idea, especially for storage, plus 105-120mm spent brass rolling around the floor of a turret basket could be a pain !   And I've heard the GAU-8 in action !  Just great ! :D

In June my family and I went on vacation in Navarre Beach, Florida.  Navarre Beach is between Pensacola Naval Air Station and Eglin Air Force Base.  One of the airfields at Eglin is where the AC-130 gunships are stationed.  Eglin also has a rather large gunnery range.

So on one the last days that we are down there my family and I are swimming and we hear a series of loud "booms" two at a time.  I thought it might be construction noise (they are still rebuilding from Hurricaine Dennis) or a National Guard unit using the range for gunnery practice.  The next night I am visiting a friend who is stationed at Eglin and as we are talking outside we hear the same noise.  I ask him if it is a Guard unit and he replies that it is the AC-130s doing gunnery practice.  What we were hearing were the 105mm howitzers firing.

And then, just to prove that he was right, we heard several short "buurrrrrrp" sounds.  Those were the Gatling cannons firing.

I slept well that night.

Okay, I've finally got round to casting the VMB tank; here's a pic.

Hopefully tomorrow I'll get one painted...

As ever, if anyone's interested go here: http://tinyurl.com/29j5ym

Got mine the other day, Thanks reaver. my only issue is the Macharuis is actually suppose to be slightly smaller than a BaneBlade or such, these models are slightly bigger, no biggie, still look great.

Awesome job!  I'd love to see these new tanks released by GW but I guess that won't be happening...

Yeah, the size thing can be an issue with the super-heavies. Basically the Mach is in scale to FW Epic super-heavies, which are a fair bit bigger than SG ones. The SG ones are a bit on the small side, with a Baneblade being little biger than a current SG Land Raider!

So FW is the place to buy in-scale Super-heavies, and as a bonus they're cheaper than SG too !

Regards,
Reaver

Yes, G/W-F/W can't get the sizes right ... G/W SHTs are smaller than F/W's ?! And F/W's Russes are smaller than G/W's ?!?! ???  Not to mention aircraft !? :O  So close is good enough for me !  Anyway, I like'm !  :)

Oh don't get me wrong,  I totally like them, they be very cool, the size just caught me off guard :)
and I like them to big :) , I always felt the Super heavies were a tad small, In particular the Leviathan, Colossus, and Cyclops.
