Indeed, it's very detailed, but actually quite pleasant to paint (although painting a whole army must be something else...  :O ).

Anyway, here are some Tyranids, as promised. The army is now finished and I'll try to do a group shot later today or tomorrow. In the meantime...

Raveners (I went for 2 per stand because I really wanted to keep the "horde" feeling)


Lictors (different colour scheme to represent the camouflage ability of the Lictors)

Finally, after many months of gluing and painting, I am now the proud owner of a 3000 points Tyranid army. The army will grow bigger eventually, but for now I need to take a break from painting black and yellow.  :p

The final touch : the objectives.

Well done, Hojyn! :)  I'd say having a nicely painted Tyranid army is something to be very, very proud of :cool:  not to mention, having an Epic 'Nid army at all is something to be most envious of... well I am anyway :(  (Please, please, please SG hang in there long enough to release the Epic Nid Infantry sprue again...)

Thanks guys.  :)

I still have loads of unpainted Tyranid models, so I won't stop at 3000 points. I just need to take a break from all these bugs, and my Alpha Legion has been crying for some attention for too long.  :p

@ Lextar: Yes, cushions do make nice hills!  :D
