Hmmm. Grumpy Van Vlak actually sounds too funny to let it pass. ?}:) ?

And unfortunately realistic too, sad to say.....

The Dutch great great grandaddy was Van Flook.
Vanvlaks' ancestry (inverse order):
Vanvlak
Van Vlak
Van Vlake
Van Flake (inventor of AA and Kellogss)
Van Flook
Van Floos
Van Afloos
Van Hafels
Van Hefels
Van Heels (inventor of stilettos)
Van Hels
Van Helsing (no, not the motion picture one, the more gentlemanly, older and  messier REAL Van Helsing described by Mr. B. Stoker).
Stake, anyone?  :blues:

Vampire hunters have much at stake... :p

Since the Berserkers are progressing so slowly I thought I'd post a pic of my latest reinforcements. Please note that I have painted myself only the runes on the three airships and the unflocked warrior detachment on the foreground. The dark blue airship & gyrocopters were painted by Dafrca (at least I got 'em from him) and the Space Wolf grey equipment was painted by an ebayer.
So don't congratulate me on the fine paintjob I didn't do... :;):

Pic here. I also got a really nice Banelord from eBay, pic here. I am actually contemplating of removing the Imperial head from the base as I have need for such heads...  }:)

Oi, those look like Squatachans! :p
And I would remove that head too, it looks like one of those stretchy-neck turtles (snappers?).  :o My sole Banelord (work NOT in progress) came from ebay too. I think it's the first type of Titan I ever saw, in an ancient White Dwarf bought during my honeymoon....  :L

They look like 40mm x 40mm monster bases from here.  :)

I see you survuved the barrage.  :p

Yep, those are 40mm x 40mm bases. The ones Warhounds (at least the older ones) are usually mounted on.

Painted the uniforms & guns of the Berserker detachment yesterday. Contemplated on the fact that after I've finished this brotherhood there are still SEVEN to go.  :blues:  Phew!

Plus I am running short of Hearthguard. may have to produce some   locally. I may have use for Drasannar's advice sooner than I thought.  :o

When rummaging through my mini collection I also noticed that my Squats have four Leviathans instead of three as I thought.  :;):

The Berserker det is now finished (except for the flag and flocking) . Started work on the Thunderer det and did some brainstorming on Grumpy Van Vlak, the Chief engineer. Speaking of which, could anybody recommend WWW sites with pics of futuristic tools and such, I had trouble imagining what they might look like.  :o

Have to let my beard grow, I guess *grumble*  :L

Futuristic tools? You can't do better than go here: drool!  :p
Sigh - this is just another way of spending loads of $... and their stuff would look good on any Squat Engineer.   :D
