Saw these and thought they might possibly be useful as silver towers or similar in a tzeentch army.

I think it is white, black, or clear plastic. As far as I know, Shapeways is a 3D printing company, so there are no actual molds.

Pretty, but way too big. It's almost 6 inches wide. You'd have to cut it up for parts.

Shapeways does have some interesting stuff ... I'm not crazy about their vehicles. But their terrain has some promise ... http://www.shapeways.com/shops/objects? ... Bpage%5D=1

Yeah, but none of those buildings are 6mm scale.

They appear a little small ... but with a little work they could be used for 6mm ...

No lie. I sent up a test wall of 85mm x 40mm x 2.5mm (roughly the size of one of the two-story ruin walls in the Epic box) and Shapeways quoted me a $25 US price.

Note that this was ONE wall, with windows and no other detail. You'd need at least four walls, even if you scratchbuilt the roof.

Companies like Shapeways are great for small stuff, but get really pricey once you make anything of size.

Some of John Bear Ross's 6mm vehicle designs are decently priced. The one-offs are pretty outrageous but when he designed them on a sprue of 4 vehicles the price came down to a reasonable level.

I'll agree ... the price is a killer ...

A little warning: Scotia Grendel Stuff is pretty small.
If a Scotia Grendel Sd.Kfz. 251 can fit 10 german soldiers, then the mk1 Rhino can fit 20 Marines in tactical dreadnought armor :x

I wanted to give a quick bit of information on the minis at 15mm.co.uk

http://www.15mm.co.uk/6mm_Science_Fiction.htm

I purchased one of each sprue, just received them today.

The "Crusaders" come in at about 10mm tall, they dwarf the Marines I have out from SM 1 Box. For a separate army, like Tau, they could work, if they weren't a mixed force.

The "Levy" Come in at about 8-9mm, but would make excellent Guard troops.

The "Shia Kan" are 6-7 mm and would make awesome Eldar (except the sniper, which is becoming my default Model for IG snipers)

I can post some pics of them based later on if anyone is interested.
